As sparks fly between them, Maddie is drawn deeper into his dangerous world . . . until there's no turning back. When you live on the edge, any moment could be your last.
My Honest Opinion:
I enjoyed this book, The story line was really, really good. This story was very easy to read. You could just drift away into these characters. These characters were very emotional and deep. Its very fast paced, really well written. I liked the darker vibe to the story line. Not many books are as deep as this one these days. I got hooked on these characters and it was very hard to put the book down.
These characters Lobo, Maddie, and her friends and all the gangs are very deep and raw, very emotional story to read. I don't like insta-love alot but the attraction between Lobo and Maddie was very raw and real. It really captures their true love for each other. Which makes for a very good story.
There was a few spots that was very hard to read. Because I dont know much about gang violence and what happens with that. But past that it was just so great to read this story. This book makes you get all the feels, Its emotional, raw, tear-jerker, you will fall in love, The romance was the best, it was just so deep. You could feel how much Lobo and Maddie really love each other.
I would call the book a must read. This book should be alot popular than it is. This is a young adult, contemporary with mystery, and thriller in it. New Adult vibe as well.
4 stars because there were some parts that was hard to read for me personally.
Quotes:
"Maybe that's why I can't get you out of my head"
"Don't forget Maddie, You can't share details of this case with anyone. If anything is leaked, your credibility will come into question. And our whole case is resting on your testimony."
"The strangest thing happened to me that night at Eric's party. It's like you've been with me ever since. In my head I talk to you and you get me. In my head, I think about you and what I want to say to you... and do to you."
